“Metamorphosis” explores structures and transformations of nature and butterflies with shapes and colours helping to inform the structures and flows of the garments, explorations of laser cutting and 3D printing direct to the fabric are explored, using it as a way of developing how this could take place in this digital-only collection. The animation further explores the collection’s focus on the metamorphosis by expressing a transformation as the digital models emerge from the fluttering wings. The collection was showcased as part of Digital Fashion Week London as part of a collaboration with Maison Dao and The Immersive Kind inside the Immersive Kinds Spatial Metaverse space for a live interactive fashion show event; the collection was further showcased as a collaboration between the online art platform Rtisiq and Fumigene NFT marketplace in a live auction to raise awareness to digital fashion and new approached to consuming art and fashion.
